The Highland Weavers
The Highland Weavers have been playing music and singing songs of Scotland and
Ireland for almost twenty
five years. With close harmonies they perform a variety of familiar, traditional and contemporary songs
from these Celtic lands. The Highland Weavers are: Marie Whiteford (keyboard and vocals), Marty Morrissey
(guitar, concertina, bodhran and vocals) and Tim Whiteford (vocals and guitar).

Longford Row
Longford Row is a high energy Celtic
quartet. Their music is primarily traditional Irish. Longford Row
performs
pub songs, sea shanties, beautiful Irish airs and
instrumental tunes throughout Vermont and Northern New
England. Their sound is dominated by a large vocal presence of
three and four part harmonies, thundering
gang vocals, and high energy rhythms. The band members are: Dan Blondin, (6 and 12 string guitar, vocals),

vocal, guitar and mandolin), Gerry Feenan (guitar, mandolin,
harmonica, vocal), Marshal

The Fiddleheads
Fiddleheads is a
group of young people interested in learning and performing
traditional fiddle tunes. The
tunes they play highlight the Yankee, French,
Irish, Scottish and other cultures of Northern Vermont. They
have
recorded 2 CDs as a group, and several members have
been part of other recording projects.

Marie Claire
A
talented singer songwriter and incredible pianist Marie Claire
performs a variety of ballads and upbeat songs
in a style all her own. She performs solo and with
several local bands in Burlington and out of state. Marie
Claire has played in bands with members of Phish, the Chrome Cowboys and
is a regular performer at Honky
Tonk Tuesdays at Radio Bean in Burlington..

Woods Tea Co.
The Woods Tea Co
is a nationally renowned local band with a foot in many musical
doors. "They perform blue
grass, Celtic tunes, sea shanties and folk songs
with an equal ease and skill", The frequently perform on
National Public Radio and other notable venues such as the
Lincoln Center. Patti Casey has recently joined
the band.

Ann Whiting
Ann Whiting has
been described as one of the best Appalachian cloggers and French
Canadian stepdancers
around. Backed by the Mark Sustic and the Fiddleheads Ann brings a new
form of dance to the Celtic new

Symphony Reel
Symphony Reel
comprises Laura Markowitz on violin, Ana Ruesink on viola, and John
Dunlop on cello, guitar
a and bouzouki. They play an eclectic mix of
Scandinavian and Irish music. The three musicians play with the
Vermont Symphony Orchestra, the Burlington Chamber
Orchestra, and, as a trio, they perform for children in
schools throughout Vermont. They also play in a
variety of chamber groups. John and Laura play for a contra
dance
group in Jericho where they reside. All three teach
privately, and John teachers at Dartmouth College as
well.

The Heckhounds
The Heckhounds are a
self-designated "hopped-up country-blues" band. Quoting Dan Boles
"Slide guitarist
Hal Mayforth offers languid, swampy
lines, which guitarist and harp player Michael Murdock matches with
gruff, understated vocal turns.
Meanwhile drummer Kevin Morrison keeps the time with hazy torpidity.

Mountain Celts

music. Their music reflects the duality of a musical heritage

embraces the mystical qualities of Scottish Highlanders
and Irish bards, rollicking jogs and reels and

Green Mountain Celts
The John Martenis Band
John Martenis is
a singer-songwriter whose interests range from folk to funk, and
country to punk. Martenis
cut his teeth playing metal, rock, and punk
in Los Angeles and spent 12 years in the vibrant North Carolina
music scene both as a solo acoustic performer and
in a wide variety of projects ranging from hard rock to blue
grass.
The John Martenis band plays original country,
blues, and rock with a slightly gritty feel. Martenis and
long time
side man Adam Wright throw guitar licks back
and forth while Jerry Cloutier (drums) and Brian Hunt
(bass) lay
down a solid rhythm.

Buckley,
Cummings and Garton
Matt Buckley has been playing Scottish bellows pipes since 1987, and in
1989 founded the annual Vermont
Bellowspipe School, here in Richmond,
with world-renown piper and pipe-maker Hamish Moore. 2009
marked the 21st annual School. The School has
featured world-class instructors and fine students from
Scotland, Canada, United States,
England and even Japan.
This year Matt is joined by renowned
piper Tim Cummings and fiddler Joanne Garton. Tim has
performed
and competed with the New Zealand Grade I Manawatu Scottish Pipe Band. Tim plays Scottish smallpipes,
border pipes, Highland pipes, banjo and
whistle. Performing classical violin since the age of 5, Joanne
has
traveled extensively with her fiddle and has
won the New England Fiddle Competition, New England
Scottish
Fiddle
Championship, and placed third in the U.S.
National Scottish Fiddle Championship in 2002.

Calloway Taxi is
a jazz a capella ensemble based in Chittenden County, VT. The five
singers are: Judith

Jane Keir, Vermont grown
singer-songwriter from Huntington,
has graced the local scene with

The McFadden Academy of Irish Dance
The McFadden Academy of
Irish Dance is Vermont's only certified Irish dance school. The
dancers attend
many competitions throughout
New England and have come home with many awards. They have performed
all
over Vermont and have also
danced with world class musician Eileen Ivers at the Flynn Theater.
The dancers
perform fast, intricate
footwork while wearing spectacular costumes. Surely a crowd pleaser!

Mary Ann Samuels and
Susan Reit de Salas play lilting dance tunes and lively airs on
harp, hammered
dulcimer, recorders and penny whistles. Their performances
often include traditional songs as well. Their
CD, "All Alive" features Celtic, Medieval and original tunes on
their stringed instruments. Both Susan and
Mary Ann perform with
Full Circle, a recorder, vocal and string quintet.

Hilary Stewart
is
a 7th grade
student at Camel's
Hump Middle School. She has been singing since she was 3
years old and has been
taking voice lessons since 2006. She is currently a voice
student with Evelyn
Kwanza’s Music Studio of
Essex, Vermont. Hilary enjoys performing and has participated
in Gospelfest,
several recitals, the
Camel's Hump talent show and the Open Mike at the Richmond Free
Library. Hilary loves
all music, but her
favorite types to sing are Gospel, Jazz. Broadway, and the
Blues, and she can often be
heard singing in the
shower! She hopes to one day sing professionally.

Red Wing Puppet Theater’s show blends many different puppet styles
with live musical accompaniment
